ok so I am about to build a new cabinet style smoker with an off set firebox, my question is. would reverse flow work on this type of smoker?

I doubt it's worth the trouble. Maybe a heat baffle plate with growing holes across the bottom so it distributes a bit better, but I don't think that a full reverse floor to it is necessary. Post pics on the build!!!
