Hey guys, so I did some more research and I believe that this is a sycamore tree. The bark is definitely sycamore. So my question now is, do people use sycamore for bbq?

you could approach a local farmer or land owner. maybe trade some que or cash for wood.

When you live in the boonies and supplement your heating bill with wood. Cutting up some for the smokers is no problemo.

Calling an orchard is the way to go. A lot of the online stuff has to be kiln dried to kill insects/parasites mainly so they are not transported with the wood over state lines. Noticed the wood doesn't quite smell the same but the results are pretty close.
