Just finished up UDS #2 Sunday and UDS #3 tonight. #2 is the short fellow with a flat lid...
while # 3 is the tall, dark and handsome UDS with the inverted kettle for a hat.
I seasoned #2 Sunday evening and all went well. Nice steady temps. I will season #3 tomorrow after work...and will be smoking 3 briskets and 3 butts on Saturday for next weekends auction for an old college roommate who is battling cancer.

The upside-down kettle for a lid sure did turn out good...better than I was expecting... Now, just as long as it seals good...which I think it will with the added ring. Yeah, all the vent holes are over kill, but I figured it was easier just leaving the dampners on there than trying to fill them.
