Anybody currently using a convection plate, trying to get some opinions to see if it would be something good to add to my BBQ experience..:decision:

If you drill too many or too large a hole you can go back with tuning plates to cover the holes for adjustment. You could experiment with cookie sheets or thin metel and when you get it right make it out of 1/4 inch.
 
I use cookie sheets for now as tuning plates in my brinkman offset. with other mods i generally see pretty even temps across the cooking chamber.
