My first beef brisket...

This was the first weekend I have had the chance to fire up my new smoker. I ended up throwing a brisket into the mix and here are some pics...this took quite awhile, about 10 hours. I am still learning the ins & outs of the smoker. I used a McCormick beef rub that can be bought anywhere. Nothing special...the only thing special about it is this was my first attempt at a brisket...

That, sir, looks nothing like my first brisket (that's a good thing). Good stuff.

Nice work on your first brisket - took 10 hours - how big was it?

I have only tried brisket once, and it was OK...need to figure out how to keep it moist. Better try this weekend!! LOL

Great looking eats for the first time! Imagine how good they will be in the future!
