Anyone know where to get Tri-Tip in Chicago

I am excited summer is upon us because I have been looking forward to egging up some tri-tip. I asked my local butcher and he said he rarely ever gets it. Anyone know any places that get good tri-tip in Chicagoland, especially the southern vectors.

I'm sure your meat man can order just about anything! Give him a nudge & tell him that you'd prefer USDA Choice "peeled" tri-tips - unless you want to pay for the fat & the time to trim it yourself...ENJOY!!!!

try SAMs. They sometimes have it here.

You can get them at Trader Joe's and they also have the non marinated one's... You can also get them at Sam's Club, but you have to buy a cryovac of them. If you buy them at Sam's, there will be 6-9 in the cryovac bag. I just separate and freeze them...
