Since I know of nobody who owns one and reviews are pretty hard to find I thought I would throw it out here. I am not trying to start a Brand War.
I am looking at the Jambo Jr. and the Lone Star 24x48. I have read some reviews on the Jambo and people like them. I can't find anything on the Lone Star? The Jambo is 3/16" body insulated fire box. The LS is 1/4" body and singlewall firebox. As for hot spots, even cooking, I have no idea if there is something I should be looking for as this isn't like comparing cars.

Thanks for any help/experience you can provide!

I don't know the Lone Star.
I'm blessed to be able to cook on a full sized Jambo regularly. I don't own it personally, my competition partner does, but I'll be using it this weekend for a big cook for our comp sponsor and all I can say is......

....go with the Jambo.

I've known no other stick burner that can hold rock solid temps for 10 hours or more with just a smll armload of wood, even at higher temps.

Efficient, consistent, superb craftsmanship, super clean burning.

Rock. Solid. Weapon.

Does anybody know somebody on the forum with a Jambo Jr. I could get in touch with?
