Hi guys I’m ready to order a new smoker and just want to get some thoughts on Pitmaker Vault vs LSG Large vs Humphreys Pint Plus insulated smokers. Looking to see if anyone can confirm the quality of these 2 products over time I’m looking for something that will hold up nicely and look nice for a good amount of time.

All 3 are right around $4500 shipped so it’s fairly even price wise

Pitmaker and LSG use thicker metal as you can see by the weight. This may be important if you plan to move it very often. No bad choices here. Then you have the reverse flow vs direct flow. Direct flow has 1 less interior wall to worry about rusting over time. Those are the things that would concern me.

You can take care of any smoker and have it last for years. Even less than $100 ones. If that is what you want to use to choose a smoker.
Most look for a quality build. Capacity, ease of use and mobility.
I bought a Humphrey's and ended up with only one of the above mentioned qualities. IMHO

Inquiring minds want to know which of the 4 qualities you ended up with?

Have had my vault for a couple years and it's the same as the day it arrived. Just not as clean inside. Outside looks pristine. I have a good cover for it so it is easy to keep pretty. Nothing will stay pretty for long left alone in the elements.

Cleaning it out is gross but that goes for any cooker.

Whatever you get, a solid cover and develop a cleaning routine and the cooker will last.

I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of the smokers you mentioned you are considering. For what it's worth I was in the same position as you were awhile ago and wound up going this route http://www.cascadesmokers.com/
Not trying to throw a monkey wrench in your decision making process but thought if you were considering an insulated cabinet you might want to throw these guys in the mix as I've been more than satisfied with my decision.

I wouldn't overlook Ironsides.

We have a Humphreys Queb'd Pint. Like it well enough. It serves it's purpose. Cooks large amounts overnight so we can sleep. We prefer stick burners but sleep is important.

I want a Pitmaker but shipping is prohibitive.

Ordering an Assassin 48 grill and 28 smoker this week.

You should get a UDS. You can build one for $99 dollars.

Kidding. I'd go LSG or Pitmaker. Better build quality, same price.

I bet you will enjoy which ever one you get. Just remember to get the one you want.

I have had my humprey's for a couple of years now and it is great. IAmMadMan has had his humpreys for 8 years and has no issues with it, it has held up great.

I think that they are all excellent choices and you have to pick out what you are looking for, reverse flow or not. Also, from my experience the owners of Humphrey's are amazing and the customer service after the sale is top notch. I have heard the same with Lone Star Grillz.

With any of these you will be very happy.
