Thanks everyone. Thanks cowgirl for the bike comment. Well I have progressed and have finished the build pretty much. I was lucky to score some heavy duty expanded metal from the local scrap yard. 20 cents per pound. Gotta love that. Anyway I did not re invent the wheel on this as I just learned from all the build post's etc... I burnt the barrel 3 times so I had to wire brush the inside to do a final clean. I welded a quick tool to help clean the inside of the barrel. See pic. Next I welded a basic charcoal basket and drip pan, put a slide vent in the front and added a 3/4 nipple vent in the back just in case. Welded a cool grate from the expanded metal too. I found this Ice Tea sign at the scrap yard and thought it looked cool. Quick coat of black paint and I am now ready for my first smoke this weekend. Oh and the bike made it in a picture or two.
