Micky D's Messing with chicken Prices!

Thanks McDonald's. I'm sure they will be nasty and fall off the menu shortly.
 
I got a heads up on this from some of my vendors at the beginning of this year. I have been waiting for it, and now it has happened... Damn that Ronald!!!!!
 
This may be completely unrelated, but a couple of weeks ago I bout a whole 4lb chicken for about $4-$5. Today I bought one and it was $7.29 I thought it was overpriced.
 
It's pretty amazing when you start to think about how massive they are. You don't think about them having an impact but they do. Good thing I'd rather have drumsticks than wings.
 
Just supply & demand? McDonalds because or their size created an extarordinary demand that poultry producers have not or cannot gear up to supply in short order. The real shame is McD is going to take all those good wings and make chicken chit! Just my $0.02.
 
So, that's the culprit!

We abandoned any plans to peddle chicken wings this football season because the price is stupid high.
Heck, to make it feasible, we'd have to charge a buck a wing. Not gonna happen.
