Meat Analysis Finds Drug Resistant Bacteria in Pork

I work on the basis that most of this is post slaughter contamination, and that if I wash the meat and cook it right, there will be no issues. I think there is over use of chemicals in our food, but, I suspect a lot if the risk is from poor handling.
 
This is a hot topic here ATM, groups of farmers have visited the USA since 1994 and had their eyes opened to "Chemical Farming" and discuss and decide if they are going to follow the lucrative futuristic methodology or not.
We still have widespread support in the general marketplace for traditional quality even tho it is far more expensive but the GM influence is gaining momentum so it has people worried.
One of our major supermarket players has promised no hormone or antibiotic produce will be sold through them so that is a major obstacle and gives us some hope.
The reports by the Australian farmers was pretty ghastly, it makes me worry when the community is just seen as open mouth consumer money pots and not held in high regard.
