THE Shirley Fabrication Photo Thread

Here I was just wondering why have a shelf on the rear side and someone answers it. Nice idea...

That's a whole lotta pork TPB. Between the wheels, the pigs and all the bling, you've got it decked out to impress!

And is there an opening for the heat and smoke going into the warming box? Just curious how these bad boys work

Are all of the Shirley fab smokers reverse flow? I'm noticing the exhaust pipe just next to the firebox. And I'm assuming it helps with the heat management

Yes they're reverse flow.

There is a damper from the main chamber into the warmer and an optional damper from the fire box to the warmer which in turn makes it a vertical cooker.

As far as I know all Shirleys are reverse flow. You can run smoke out of the main chamber, the warmer or both. You can also cook in the main chamber, warmer or both.

I made a quick video for some friends that aren't local. You can see more with it.

Thanks all.... This is an early Shirley model and I absolutely love it! I bought it used here on the brethren from Bbqwilly And I made a new friend when I got it!!! I insulated 2 sidewalks on the firebox, added drip edge on doors, added wheels and welded on all the art since I've owned it! I couldn't count how much meat I've cooked on this thing and I love it!!! I used it in one competition (my first) a backyard event in bardstown and we won GC! She has a good batting average :)
