Beef spares

With all the recent posts about the beef spare ribs and all of them looking SOOOOOO good it has me wanting to make them. but it looks like they are not very easy to find at least around here. so far I have found one place and he priced them at $5.48Lb. is that high, low or average?I do realize that prices vary by region.

That's high to me - the Texas guys get them for a good price.
Last time we bought beef short ribs they were $4.99/pound. I have to put off beef ribs till the prices come down some.

I've been scoring mine from work at $1.99/lb or less, if the cryo is loose when they come in.

I'm in TX, and that is not all that high for shorts. Depends on the quality though.

I bought some at Sams over the weekend for 4.96 cryo price for two slabs, they also had them cut for 5.96 lb.
