Thought I would give grandma's "cold oven poundcake" a try in the WSM. Supposed to go into a cold oven, turned to 325 and baked for an hour and 15.

Set the "cold" middle section of WSM over the coals and let her run with all vents wide open...managed to get pretty close to 325. Cooked for just about an hour (3 smaller loaf pans instead of 1 large).

Here's how it looked.

OhhhHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Can we please have the recipe?

Hmmm maybe a pound of butter.... a pound of milk.....

Didn't notice much smoke flavor myself...one of my boys (4) said it tasted like chicken!!

No wood chunks when cooked...only the kingsford. Having them "shielded" by the loaf pans may have kept out much of the smoke. Also, the pound cake was the only thing going at the time...cooked the chicken dinner (for my son!) after they came off.
