I'm puzzled. I buy Lazzari at Cash&Carry too. I pull out the huge lumps, give them a tap with the back of a hatchet to break them down into usable size, then put them into the charcoal basket. I then add some smaller stuff and finally some duff right on top. As long as the ratio is right it all burns just fine. I've never thrown away any. Puzzled why you guys don't do the same.
