chicken 988 789 988 878 788 889
ribs 898 877 988 766 888 878
pork 777 777 787 888 867 877
brisket 899 989 999 898 878 897

all in all very happy with our first go. my pork needs lots of work but am thrilled with our 4th place in brisket. also need to work on getting my chicken to hold it's shape when i cook it. next cook is not till september so have time to on both.

Those are great scores for a first comp -- obviously you did some research and understood the basics. Congratulations. From here on it will be a lot of "fine tuning".

Looks good and congratulations on the good scores!

Just a suggestion on your pork (from a judge), make sure there are six pieces alike in your box so that each judge gets the same thing. Your box looks a bit jumbled and probably not every judge got the same meat -- some having more bark, some less, etc.

everything looks great! nice job on the 4th place brisket :clap2:

Outstanding job first time out,
keep up the good work.

Great job, especially considering it's a first outing!

I wish we did that well our first comp many moons ago. Very nice job!

Thanx everyone. Being a judge helped me to have a pretty good idea as to what needs to be turned in and all of you on this forum have helped me have some good ideas as to how to accomplish it. I thank you all. Now I need to practice some more. keith
