The 6th annual Central Kansas BBQ cookoff and the 1st annual National Championship Brisket cookoff will be July 8 & 9, 2005 here in Great Bend, KS.

I have the honor of being one of the judges for the brisket competition, and I will be assisting a team in the KCBS contest, License 2 Grill, from Wichita, KS. I believe 36 teams have been invited for the brisket championship so hopefully all of them will be here to compete, and I hope several other teams are here for the regular contest. Regardless, I should be able to get enough great BBQ to eat that weekend!!! :D
I hope some of the members who are nearby can drop in for a taste!
