Got up and threw a JD Sage fatty onto the Egg this morning. While it smoked, an idea was bubbling in my head :idea:.
I made a compound butter (8 T butter, 3 T maple syrup, 1/2 t vanilla extract) and put it back in the fridge to stiffen.
When the fatty was done about 90 minutes later, I put my cast iron grill in my....umm...grill and cooked some french toast (loaf of bread, 4 eggs, 1/2 c milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract) on the Egg.
It was 350f when I put the first batch on and it worked perfectly. But by the third batch the fire was getting too hot and the butter was starting to burn (even with the bottom vent fully shut).
Put it all together for a great breakfast.
