Smoked Quail? Anyone?

The cornish hen thread got me to thinking about quail. When I was a young feller I used to hunt the "Bobs and the Blues" around here and they were good eating, but I never tried to smoke any. Anyone here tried it?

I grill them.
Pretty small to smoke unless ya wrap them in bacon or something like that.

Sounds good Kapn! Really hungy for some now. May have to drag the 12ga. out and try to bag a few. Although I think the season may be over. Might have to resort to buying some at the store.

I've smoked then wrapped in bacon and then finish on the grill. Tasty
