I was going to try to judge. I get to Vegas on Friday night for business. I have meetings on Sunday so I can't. If it were normal saturday turn in I would. Still planning to come by on sat. to see if anyone I know is there.

We will be making the fly in from Florida to cook this event. Many thanks to Bentley for helping us out with getting Green Mountain Grill cookers there and the other essentials.

I really wanted to, I think it'd have been a blast. I live over 1700 miles away and actuallly had a friend say he'd pay for the entry fee and the meat for a road trip out there. It was really tempting, but to pull my trailer there and back it'd cost over $1000 in gas. And it would only be my 4th contest ever. Man, it does sound like fun.

JrbBBQ, i would roll to Vegas with you, TC and I tried to combine with another team to split costs and that fell through, now i dont know if i have to work or not.

Send me a message and let me know what you are thinking about it. Right now it's a long shot, we've pretty much dismissed the idea. My thing is that if it starts drying up, we'll be trying to plant our crops.

Looking forward to judging it, the Sams contest two weeks prior and the Best Dam Contest the week after...and tasting BBQ from different teams through out the country, that will be a 1st! I will be curious as to whether it is different from the last 2 or 3 CA constest, which in my opinion, the Turn-ins have been below average...
