Thinking about getting a tandoor to do some Indian food . Any suggestions or experiences on a tandoor , commercial or homemade ?

I love Naan bread! However, I know nothing about tandoor ovens. Looking online I do see quite a few makers of them, even portable propane ones.

Look in the "I Farking love Indian cooking Thread" and check out the stove that I just got for conversion into a tandor. Im not gonna have to do much.
I was going to use a mixer barrel from an old cement mixer.
You can build them with brick that has an inverted terracotta pot covered in sand inside. I want one that moves around though.
The UDT is a solution for sure, especially if you want to move it around. They are heavy.

I ended up posting there as well as someone had asked me to. The initial post is similar (if not the same) but it has pictures.
Every now and then someone gets interested in a tandoor, but I don't know if anyone has built one recently. I know Capozzoli has one or two in the works. Definitely build one if you have the time/resources. Buying one readymade is too easy!
