We just completed our 5th KCBS competition in Herman, Mo. and have to say we had a blast getting 3 walks. We have been trying to learn the rules along the way and stay "in bounds" but I am having a hard time defining what this rule actually means.
CAUSES FOR DISQUALIFICATION & EVICTION (of a team, its members and/or guests):
A. Excessive use of alcoholic beverages.
B. Serving alcoholic beverages to the general public.
A. I dont have much of a problem with that one, it's B. that I need some help on. Since our first competition I have told our friends and guests that come to see us and visit that we can not serve them alcohol from our coolers. This was really hard in Herman with the wine, Jack, Margaritas, and Fat Tire abounding. To me it just makes it hard to have a good time with them especially at events where they are not selling and won't let the general public bring it on site.
So are friends and guests to your cooking site considered "general public"? What do they really mean by that statement?
Your help, comments, and suggestions are much appreciated.
