Hard work (and a lot of practice) does pay off.

At the Washington County Fair BBQ cookoff in Brenham, Texas over the weekend (a non-sanctioned event) our cook team took fourth out of 26 in Brisket. A great feeling to place, can't wait for the next event.
 
Wow! Fourth out of 26 - that's excellent! The best I ever did before yesterday was 16th out of 60 in chicken - good work! And you're right - there's no substitute for practice!
