My 05 Ram 2500 with the 5.9L gets an honest 20-22 mpg day in and day out--I have a "light foot" though.
Pulling "Sherman" at 5500 lbs with a large flat front (parachute ), I get 15-16ish at 65mph on the flat AL-FL-GA roads.
