I had a tri-tip sitting in the garage freezer. Decided to do a midweek steak for my wife and I. I asked my wife to set it out to defrost. I realized I had run out of "the Rub co." Santa Maria seasoning so I went by local BBQ store that sells it. Once I got home mini-chef was on the job.

I preped the tri-tip. I also wanted a side dish and had seen that you can do sweet potato on the Grillgrates. So I peeled and cut up some and threw them in with some olive oil.

Once it was pulled and resting mini chef gave his approval.

Looks good - I love grilled potatoes! I had some tonight for dinner along with grilled broccoli and grilled salmon.

Nice work with mini-chef as well!
