Decided to try my new tube smoker on some cheese and butter.



Got smoke nice smoke going.





This is what I see when I take the lid off.



Wish me luck on the butter so it doesnt melt.
 
The tube smoker does produce some heat I think. Even if the butter melts it's worth the try.
 
Whose idea was it to smoke butter? ....geesh I guess we'll smoke anything these days! :thumb: Good looking cold smoke Adam
 
Someone told me 2 hours on the butter.
 
I've been going 3 hours on the butter and love it but Dave thought 3 hours might have been too much for him i think...Dave chime in.
 
I've been thinking about that smoked butter. I bet it would be great made into compound smoky butter and rubbed beneath the skin if a chicken before you cook it. How are you planning on using it?

I don't know. Just heard about it and wanted to try it.

And the butter still looks like stick butter.
 
Adam do you have all of your elbows off?

FWIW on the butter it's great on everything you'd normally use it on. Yes great on toast, pans for fying eggs...just had some on my baked potato for dinner and all your recipes.

You will of course notice it on the toast the most imo...it's like camp fire toast )))
 
Yup all elbows off. I will add 2 more to it later for a total of 8.
