JD McGee
somebody shut me the fark up.
I thought I'd share last night's dinner with you fine folks... As many of you well know...Friday night is steak night at the JD house. Another tradition we have at Christmastime is watching "Christmas Vacation" the night before we start decorating the house...hope you enjoy the pics...:-D
Fired up the egg...(love those night shots)...
First on are the spuds...washed, dried, rubbed with EVOO and some kosher salt and tossed on the egg for an hour or so @ 400-450...
After the spuds are done I bring the cast iron grate up to sear temps...550-600...sprinkled the steaks (rib-eyes tonight) with some French grey sea salt and cracked black pepper...
While the steaks and egg are comin' up to temp we cracked a bottle of Cabernet from Costco...not too shabby...
Tossed the steaks on for about 4 minutes per side and served them up with a side salad and the baked potatoes...
We enjoyed our meal while watching "Christmas Vacation" and are now ready to decorate the house...
Thanks for checkin' our our dinner and movie...
