Build in progress pics

How many people do you plan to feed with that thing?? And when is teh party, I am not too far down the road!

First thing I thought of too. You need some swivel casters. You might also put some kind of hitch on there so you can move it with your lawn mower or a 4 wheeler, if you have one.

I can lift it enough to point it in the right direction. We thought about swivel casters, but worried about heat since they aren't as easily removable.

outstanding build!!!
thank you for sharing the process...looking forward
to the first firing....

Close-ups and test fire run. Just a few finishing touches left and then time to paint! It's cool seeing someone make my ideas come to life. I can't wait to bring this thing home!

Brought it home yesterday! I will post some final pics this evening...

What a great looking, giant rig. It seems like it must take quite a fire to heat that beast up though. How much spacing is between each rack?

Yeah you could heat your house with it. :flame: There's about 6" between each rack.

that is one nice looking cooker. you better have a lot of friends lined up and ready to eat.

Nice work! Have only seen one made like that before and it was mounted on a trailer. Can't wait to see some food pron!!

FYI, I did line my firebox with firebricks I got from Northern Tool. They are regular 4-1/2"x9" but only 1-1/4 thick used for wood stoves. Box of 6 is about $13. They are easy to cut to size & shape with a diamond wheel on my small Makita grinder - they work great.
Firebrick is no longer available from Northern Tool according to their website. Dang it!
