Spam... that is.

The Mrs. brought home a rectangular ham (written in spanish) in a plastic pouch and asked me if it was any good. The only thing I saw was... 5 lbs.!!! Figured it was chopped and formed ham. Six hours with a salt-free rub @ 225 on the BSKD for dinner.

What do ye say, Brethren?

It looks interesting...if you still have the original package it came in...you might
post a picture of it. I'm a bit curious what it said; and looked like.

that is an amazing hunk of ham, looks like the loaf of ham before slicing for lunch meat.

I'd say going sodium free for the rest of the day might be worth it... how'd it come out?

With a magnifying glass... :eek::eek::eek:

"Cured with: Water, salt, sugar, dextrose, modified corn starch, sodium phosphate, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrate."

serving size: 2 oz. with a sodium content of 620 mg. :eek::eek:

The label tasted better.

A good long water soak in the fridge may have helped leach out some of the crap in there.
