Will the Weber 14.5 WSM lid fit on the Mini WSM's tamale pot? If so, I'd like to order one since it has more vertical clearance! Would be great for hanging things in the mini when smoking.

A mock up (I cut and pasted it) :

Hmmmmmm, hanging in the mini. I like the sound of it.

No help, sorry.

And if you don't hang it, you could skewer it tandoori style

Probably not.

14.5" WSM lids are made to fit inside the center section. You would have to balance the WSM lid on the lip of the tamale pot.

What Harbormaster said, WSM lids are different than kettle lids, they go inside the lip not on the outside.

I saw one a while back where a guy used a water pan out of an 18.5 wsm said to be the bottom of a smokey Joe. Drilled for handle and vent. Looked liked the new 14 wsm

If you want to hang meat in the mini get a 16 gallon drum in place of the tamale pot. I can hang up to 6 full slabs on a single rod running across the top of the drum.
I use this drum strictly for hanging ribs.
