So.... For the 2nd Sunday in a row a surprise thunderstorm has hastened my cook :mad2:
Here's the final shot....
2lb London broil , salt crusted baked potato with fresh bacon bits and pepper jack , my spin on Mexican street corn , and Rasberry Chipotle ABT's.... My "Broil" didn't sear like I wanted but that's my fault as my first cook in the Akorn the learning curve taught me , I got to 527 degrees on 1/2 chimney of blue bag , held there for about 35 min. But then started dropping and I didn't have time to chase it due to the storm and everything else being almost done. Lesson learned , use more coals and this thing will hit 700 EASY.
Ah... But wait.... Even at roughly 3 hours and 20 min. From dumping the 1/2 chimney of KBB , I still had enough heat to whip up this little desert which I saw on here thanks Smokingjoe :thumb:
I think me and this Akorn are gonna get along just fine :becky:
