So for the American Royal St. louis style or babyback?

Also what would you guess the % of turn in is? 70% spare to 30% baby?

thanks

They turn in both, percentage wise I have no idea to the percentages.

This will be my first year at the Royal...so I'm not really what you might call an expert opinion, but I would say cook what you always cook or better yet, cook whichever one you think you cook the best. JMHO?

In this area, we see plenty of both. Cook the one you normally cook.

^^^^^ agreed. Go with what you do best. That would be the best choice.

In my area (southeast US) I'd say we get about 80% spares at least. Other areas may vary. However, your ability and experience at cooking a rib is more important than the type. Do what you do well and stick with it.

Here is a simple guideline for cookin the royal and the jack....cook what got you there. Nothing more, nothing less. trying to "guess" what they want is pointless. Do what you do, what you know how to do and do it they way that got you there. good luck!!!

I agree with the above advise go with what you know.
