Wandering around with a bag of matchlight, looking for a match.
Hello everyone, I've been grilling/smoking for over 40 years, starting with some inexpensive grills, hibachis, gas grills and Brinkman smokers. I never really knew how to properly run the Brinkman, and gave up on them. About 20 years ago I bought a 22" Weber kettle, and my results began to really improve. I acquired a Lodge Sportsman's grill a couple of years ago, and really like grilling on it. I had planned on getting a WSM for more smoking capacity, but my son has moved out of state, and my daughter is now a vegetarian, so the kettle will probably handle enough meat for us and some occasional company. I've considered purchasing another gas grill for those impromptu grilling sessions, but I'm really partial to charcoal.
