The cheesesteak was created years before whiz was invented. The original cheese was provolone.

+1 on Dalessandro’s! They make a really good cheesteak! If you are driving through the the Manayunk section of town it’s definitely worth stopping in.

My wife wanted a cheesesteak for lunch today so this is my second one in three days. Of course I was reading this thread while eating it!
