Grilled Raging River Salmon on a Cider Plank

when Ive used cedar planks, it just smells like someone need to change the blade on their saw

I fish for salmon on our new England lakes, so this is one I have to try.
and I actually have that rub in our stash, although I haven't used it yet. now I have another reason to get it out.

Did you rub after the butter or before ? missed that.

by the way, do you char the plank a bit then flip it before adding the fish ? saw that in another salmon recipe I've used ( Dijon and brown sugar ); but don't know if it has a big effect.
