It is better to catch your temp on the way up and stabilize it than going past your target temp and playing hades trying to get your temp back down. I usually start capping about 190F and by the time I'm around 210F I have one intake wide open and the ball valve 3/4 open. From there it is a matter of fine tuning temp. Mine is usually g.t.g. in roughly 15 minutes.
