smoked turkey/deep fry
I don't know if any one has tryed this yet for turkey, But the way I have been doing it is a real crowd pleaser, I first brine the turkey in a apple juice, clove, garlic,salt,sugar and orange piece brine for two days. Then smoke for 8 hours using cherry and apple chips at 150 degrees. I then finish it off in the deep fryer for 20 min. Most excellent. The skin does turn black and looks like it is burnt but is far from it, had me worried on the first attempt but after tasting it did'nt stay on the plate long.
