How about a wing throwdown? Has that happened recently? I was thinking chicken wings, any style, on the grill/smoker/fryer...just wing it!

Jamaican Jerk on the left: Squeeze the lime over the Jamaican wings - Smoked Buffalo on the right.

After much thought and looking at my entry above, I ask that you strike my previous entry into this Throwdown...

... and use the following in its place.

Went down to San-A (local Japanese grocery) and grabbed some really nice wing drumettes:

Made 3 types of wings tonight: Smoked Buffalo, Jamaican Jerk, and Korean.
Applied some more house wings rub to the buffalo and Jerk wings:

Here's the final spread:

Jamaican Jerk on top w/ the limes, Smoked Buffalo on bottom left, and the Korean on bottom right.

Mods, please accept and use this final photo as my new entry into the Wings Throwdown.

If it will avoid confusion, please feel free to delete my original post up top.

This is an official entry...

Chicken Wings Two Ways

Earlier in the week my wife mentioned that she had a taste for wings, so I made wings :-D

She prefers honey BBQ wings and I prefer something with a little heat to it, and I had half a bottle of Frank's hot sauce in the fridge, so I decided to make some Buffalo-style wings for me. For the Honey BBQ wings I used some Sweet Baby Ray's with extra honey, and I made the Buffalo sauce from the leftover Frank's hot sauce, butter, garlic and Worcestershire sauce.

Both sets of wings were rubbed with Plowboys Yardbird about an hour before cooking and then they went in my Memphis Pro at 325 for about an hour total. I flipped them after 30 minutes...

Sorry about the crappy grill shot. It was dark and the flash on my phone sucks.

Once they were done I sauced them and let the sauce set for 10 minutes and brought them in. I gave them one last coat of sauce and we ate!

We had some celery sticks and blue cheese dressing and a little cilantro for the wings and a side salad of butter lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, red bell peppers and grape tomatoes with blue cheese dressing and some candied walnuts and dried cranberries. I added a little crumbled blue cheese to mine.

So... Here is my Chicken Wings Two Ways - Honey BBQ and Buffalo Style!
