First Throwdown Entry - Venison Backstrap

This is my first throwdown entry, so be gentle.

I cooked some venison backstrap along with okra, broccoli, mushrooms and onions. The venison is off a whitetail I shot while bowhunting this past hunting season. I marinated it in some allegro seasoning with italian dressing and then put some montreal steak seasoning on it along with garlic powder. I did a reverse sear and pulled it when it was medium rare. It turned out really good.

If we could have a noob throwdown potluck, I'm pretty sure we'd all walk away feeling like we won. The food here looks incredible :hungry:

This is my Third Entry in The Noob TD

Beef
1st roasted garlic to make garlic butter

Next the shrooms

Now the star of the show the beauties from my Butcher- ribeye for me, filet for my wife, and a strip for my son

Salted for 1 1/4 hours then rinsed padded dry spread olive oil on them and then fresh cracked pepper and put or the Egg temps 600-650

Total cook time about 6 1/2 minutes. And now resting

Please use this for my official TD pic

Served with shrooms and horseradish carrots. It was really good. Unfortunate my wife's filet was too rare for her but she enjoyed some of my sons strip

Indirect cooked. Marinated chicken breast overnight. Smoke was courtesy of some cherry wood.
These will sliced thinly this week to be used on salads. Best summertime meal in the world!

And that's a wrap! What a great bunch of entries from the noobs, many of whom are noobs no longer!
