How cool is that? A MOOSE fire ring! :whoo:

I am thinking, "Campfire Cooking" for the next throwdown. No smokers or grills, just cook over a fire pit or campfire. The portable outdoor fire pits that people have on their decks would be ok. You can use a cooking grate if needed.
Sounds simple enough to me! Looks like we have a DQ proof TD!

You may submit entries that are cooked from Friday 9/5 through the entry submission deadline of 12 p.m. Central US Time on Monday 9/15/14.

Entry pictures must be submitted by 12 p.m. Central US Time on Monday 9/15.

The ENTRY and VOTE threads will follow Q-Talk rules, meaning QUALITY ON-TOPIC discussion of the category or entries only, please. Discussion is encouraged to take place in the DISCUSSION THREAD, but if you want a recipe, or are looking for details or have QUALITY ON-TOPIC comments to make about an entry or the category you can make them in the ENTRY or VOTE thread. Non-quality posts that are made here will be deleted and the offending member will be asked why they couldn't just post in the DISCUSSION thread instead, and in extreme cases or repeat offenders, disciplinary action WILL happen.

Best of luck and even better eats to all!

Not that I would tackle one, but would a traditional hog cook over coals in a pit qualify?
This could get interesting.

Intersting Choice. Do I have to wear high heels or can I just get away with playing the theme to Brokeback Mountain! :heh:

What if it's cooked over a live fire or just coals, but in a Dutch Oven? In other words, not grilled etc, but let's say a soup, stew, chili?

Gonna try to get in on this one.

Bob, I was hoping you'd show up for this one at some point.

Since oifmarine2003 didn't specify the exact cooking method over a campfire or firepit, you should be good to go.
