Our new TD category is...

"Campfire Cookin'!"

How cool is that? A MOOSE fire ring! :whoo:

As chosen by oifmarine2003 for winning the "Bacon!" Throwdown.

You may submit entries that are cooked from Friday 9/5 through the entry submission deadline of 12 p.m. Central US Time on Monday 9/15/14.

Entry pictures must be submitted by 12 p.m. Central US Time on Monday 9/15.

What if it's cooked over a live fire or just coals, but in a Dutch Oven? In other words, not grilled etc, but let's say a soup, stew, chili?

Bob, I was hoping you'd show up for this one at some point.

Since oifmarine2003 didn't specify the exact cooking method over a campfire or firepit, you should be good to go.

dadsr4, as long as the pit is in ground or above, as oifmarine2003 specified, that would certainly work!

Went camping with the wife. Storms hit at midnight and we lost the canopy.

I picked up some petite tenders cause it seemed the subject of the week and some chicken. Chicken was marinated with oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and lime. Petite tender was a spicy montreal seasoning along with wocestshires and some hot sauce.

Sides and a fire tip

I had some new fire wood and has a problem getting it hot. So I pulled out the tent fan to give some extra air supply. Also sides corn and backed potato.
