I made a little smoked chuckie yesterday and enjoyed it with a really strong Belgian Beer that is 10 percent alcohol. Those Belgian Monks really know how to brew beer!

Please accept this as my official entry into the Meat and Potato Throwdown.

Behold the beer!

and my polling pic if you please!

Official Throwdown Entry

Well, as it seems Bluesman is giving me a hiding in the Lamb TD, I thought I'd have a crack at this one with..... yup. LAMB!

We naturally had a LOT of leftovers. I was not going to enter this one until the dish was nearly cooked, so I've only got finished shots... but you get the idea.... remember the Lamb on the Spit? That's where it came from.:thumb:

First shot here is the top crust after it came off the Performer running at well over 400F.

Yes... it's a PIE! It is an unapologetic ripoff of Aussie Titch's dish. Man when I saw that, I just had to do that with my leftovers.

Man, this was delicious. The flavour was exactly like the Pie Aunty Betty used make in an old combustion oven on the farm in Walbundrie! Fantastic with plain tomato sauce!

Delicious! ( Oh, thanks Titch for the inspiration! :thumb:)

Cheers!

Man. Looks even better than mine. I usually do beef and green beans instead of the lamb and peas, but IF there are ever any lamb leftovers in the future...
(There will be lamb, the question is will there be any leftover)
