I'm sure I need to practice my method and learn what to look for. That will help with improvement going forward.

I learned a bunch,(i.e. bacon grease will flash in a hurry
) and will continue to fiddle with this little smoker until I find a 30 gallon drum. Nice to have a portable solution if the need arises.
Oh...and the only thing I had to buy was lump. Beats my gas grill anyday!
