With no sugar in the rub and very little in the sauce, the coke didn't add too much at all. I de-fatted the liquid in the pan, reduced it, and mixed some in with the sauce that got painted on the ribs. Just enough sweet in that, but not sugary in the mouth at all, especially since the sauce was mostly Stubb's Original, a tomato/vinegar base.
