Cute might be the right word. Looking at the welds (they are pretty "chunky") I'm guessing it must be about 11 gage (1/8" steel), not really all that bad and the firebox does look in proportion to the cook chamber. I think if I was gonna clean the burning splits out of the firebox I would use a tool with a longer handle.
