This weekend I made something I first saw on the show Parks and Recreation - The Swanson: a bacon wrapped turkey drumstick. When I saw the episode with Ron Swanson eating it, I knew I was going to have to try making one.
I brined a couple of turkey drumsticks for a few hours, then wrapped them each in 4 slices of bacon and put some rub on them, then smoked them over charcoal and cherry wood for about 3 hours around 250-250f and pulled at 165f-170f.
