It comes with 4 shelves, I suggest you order extras (I ordered 8 shelves)
From experience with my shelf spacing, I believe you could put
15) 8 lb butts, 3 per shelf.
5) Whole Packer Briskets, 1 per shelf. (more if doing just flats)
16) Racks of ribs, 2 per shelf 30) with the use of rib racks.
It is tall enough to remove the shelves and insert dowel rods into the top track to smoke a massive amount of homemade smoked sausage at one time.
The best part of these cookers are the shelf slides and easy availability of extra shelves that make it perfect for custom spacing and adjustability.
The A-Maze-n Pellet smoker also works well for cold smoking in this smoker.
I am very happy with the quality of the unit, solid construction, and most of all a pleasant salesperson who wants to sell you what you want, and not something different.
It is everything I want and need for my use of a smoker.
