It is about the same size as a small BGE that I have. It is great for steaks and small stuff if you are cooking for yourself or 2. If you want to cook for more people it will not work. I do find that is is hard to smoke a pork butt on my cooker because the coal are too close and there is not much smoke flavor. If you can, go exchange it for the full size Akorn, you will not regret it.
