We haven't had the pain bacon yet. We had a meat loaf that was wrapped in the bacon. And I save some of the ends and chop them up which if great for soups. We've had that too. Neither seemed salty however I haven't just had a plain strip. When we get the vacuum bags and slice the rest I'll have to test it.
