I went....on three different occasions, to the grill store to buy a BGE. I chickened out each time because I was scared to plunk down that much dinero on a kamado. I'd had limited experience with such.
I was willing to spend the $299 on the Akorn with no fear.
Almost a year later I can say that it was the best grilling money I've ever spent.
I now have full confidence in knowing that all my grilling-smoking-searing can be done with a kamado.
I wish Char-Griller would upgrade their web page to include more Akorn related items.
