Any thoughts on soaking cedar planks. When I plank salmon I always soak the plank for about two hours and dry it on the grill on each side before planking the salmon. Curious what other people do. Dont want to try not soaking and ruin a piece of fish as my current process has good results.

I have never tried that but I would think you would have to do that so you do not burn the wood while it is on the grates
